David White
David White

David White • President
White began a life in the restaurant business during college summers, managing Cedar Point’s Silver Dollar in his hometown of Sandusky, Ohio. In 1967, David purchased a Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in Utica/Rome, NY. White opened more units in upstate New York, developed twenty-seven KFC units in the Mid-Atlantic region, and expanded into Dunkin Donuts. The White Management Group continues to own and operate KFC, Dunkin Donuts and Subway units in northern New York.

In 1975, David ventured into full-service restaurants with the Plattsburgh, NY Butcher Block, an authentic steak and seafood concept wrapped by a large, simple barn. Sister restaurants followed in Raleigh, NC and Albany, NY. In 1988, David bought the Log Jam restaurant, a busy Adirondack style restaurant in Lake George, NY.

Brian White • Vice President
Brian oversees key restaurant projects including Cold Stone Creamery, Creo, Bountiful Bread, Mangia, and Central Steak. He started in the food business working on the dish deck at the Log Jam and during the summers in high school and college, he worked his way up from bus boy, cook, server and host, all the way to the position of manager.

After graduating from Colby, Brian spent two years racing triathlons and teaching in North Carolina and California – later attending Boston University’s School of Management. He took an extended leave of absence after his first year to start a business with his father. Brian was responsible for managing the development, operations, and disposition of nine Cold Stone Creamery units across the Northeast and eventually completed his MBA program as a part-time student. In 2007 he accepted a position with Atira Partners – a real estate development company in Edwards, Colorado – returning in 2010 to manage the Albany area restaurants. Brian and his veterinarian wife Melinda, live in the Albany area with their pets Wolfgang, Otis, and Molly Brown.

Vanessa Mauriello • General Manager
Vanessa is the acting Co-General Manager of Creo in Stuyvesant Plaza. She has worked for White Management since Creo opened its doors in 2008. An original resident of Greene County, Vanessa has had much experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. For over 15 years she has served the Capital Region in many capacities; including prior management positions locally. She is proud graduate of Russell Sage and holds her Bachelor’s in Organizational Management.

Jonathan O'Leary
Jonathan O'Leary

Jonathan O’Leary • General Manager
Jonathan has been a member of the White Management team for nine years and is the now the acting Co-General Manager of Creo in Stuyvesant Plaza. A local resident of the capital region, he started working for White Management in 2004 with Mangia Cafe Clifton Park and has since been the General Manager for Mangia Cafe Slingerlands. Studied theater at SUNY Geneseo, Jonathan has been a participant of several local theatre companies including Park Playhouse Inc. were he has worked since 1999 and was most recently the Director/General/Production Manager for the past three seasons during the companies revitalization.

David Gibson
David Gibson

David Gibson • Executive Chef
David is originally from the capital region. A graduate of Johnson and Wales University studied culinary arts and hotel/restaurant management. Lived on the Big Island of Hawaii for six years. Worked at the Manua Lani resort and The Fairmont Orchid Hawaii. At the Fairmont Orchid was the Sous Chef at “Browns Beach House” and the Chef of the five diamond awarded “The Grill” restaurant. Return to capital region in 2009 to take a position with the Mazzone management group at the Hall of Springs, and later became Sous Chef at Tavolo in the Glen Sanders Mansion. Since 2011 has been with White Management as the Sous Chef of the Colonie Country Club.
